Maroons and carpet anemones aren't natural symbionts. Why not choose anemonefish that naturally host in your anemone? What kind of "blue carpet" did you get?

maroon and 13"+ green Haddoni.

My local LFS has a pair of Maroons hosted in a blue carpet. I'll try to take a pic the next time I'm in if they are still there.

Maybe some people got the impression that I said that Maroons won't host in a carpet anemone. That's not what I posted.
Spinecheek Clowns and carpet anemones aren't natural partners. Maroons naturally host in BTA's- and I personally think they look best in Bubble tip anemones.

Gary, i didnt post to prove you wrong, i was posting to the avove post asking for pics of maroons in carpets.

before i got my green and blue carpets, my maroon was hosted by a large sinularia, and when i tryed a bubble tip, he litterally abused it to near death. it wasnt agressive behavior but natural enthusiasm and the smaller size of the BTA. the carpets werent aquired for him, but for me,,,i love them.

Many hosts are possible for Clownfish.
It's true that (large) Maroons can possibly beat up small cloning type BTA's or other substitute hosts. (You know... "love them to death".) The larger deepwater solitary type of BTA is a better choice for Maroons to attach to.
