Maroon

Would a male white stripe maroon and female gold stripe pair up eventually and spawn? I am finding it hard to find a female white stripe but have a GSM available?

I'm confused about your question.

As long as you can find a white stripe clown, it can be a female. Clownfish change sex depending on dominance, with a female being the most dominant and the male being the second most dominant clownfish in a group.

For the other part of your question, white stripe maroons are the same species as gold stripe maroons. They're just color variations that come from different locations. So the answer is yes, they will be able to pair.

yeah i understand they will change sex but i don't wan't them to have to go through the lenghty process just easy i already have a mature male and am going to buy a mature female GSM so they will pair up and spawn is what your saying?

Because it was in a pair as a male for about 8 years and the female passed away the other day so it's still a male, but the question is will the GSmMand white stripe pair up together?

Thanks

How long would it take at the least for a male maroon to start changing or ireversibly becoming a female?

days, weeks, maybee years, Jhardman has some opinions on this.

what i got from him is that, with no reason to change like a male in the tank, then they may not actually change for quite some time. there is no way to really know when this has happened.
