Thanks Sonny
Nice Avatar

Thanks. I have to show my Lebanese pride somehow. :D

Im coming to Lebanon this summer. You think they would let me bring you some SPS corals?

I'm finally catching up after being away, and wow, I'm amazed at all the new photos. Your trip to Dubai looked amazing, and it just landed Dubai on my list of places I want to go.

Your tank also looks like its filling in, and maturing quite a bit.

Looking forward to meeting you in the summer then.
any dates for your trip so I can adjust my schedule to be here at the time.
thanks for the corals offer. Never had any problems bringing corals in from Dubai, Holland, Germany, and States so I don't think there should be any problems. Just make sure that your port of exit from the States is OK with it (for small frags in small water bags it should not be a prob) . You'll have to put them in your checked luggage though due to the no fluid on flights rules which ended up soaking my cloth a few times before I learned the lesson of having a cooler with me, double packing everything and adding a few towels in the cooler to absorb any water that leaks out...:D

Hi Catherine,
Dubai trip was awesome this time. I wish those displays were there before as I lived in Dubai for 2-3 years.
Make sure to contat me if you endup coming to the region as I'm very frequently in Dubai. Might as well convince you to add Lebanon to the trip:D

tank is Finally full (with the current aquascape) had a nice collection of SPS added which I still have to post here as soon as I have some free time.

HI TJ

pics should be up soon. was very busy setting up the 2 tanks that will hold all my corals and fish during the tank move..

following this thread for awhile now and it just keeps getting better! I love this tank!

PS. I think those shrimp a page back are actually camel shrimp if you can get a better pic I can be certian.

Thanks Arati.
Unfortunately can't take any pics of them as I haven't seen them since they went inthe tank except for once at night time.

sorry for the long delay but finally here are the pics I got from my last trip to cleveland.
Needless to say that after 30 hours of flights and connections the bag would arrive crushed and all cloth in it will arrive soaked in salt water

Bags all had water left in them and corals seemed OK. I could even at start of acclimation

corals:
ORA Red planet

ORA Blue Accro
this was the reason for me to take the risk of shipping corals back with me with all travel time and strict regulations...

also got some fresh cut frags of multiple corals.
Realized those would not ship as well as others however with the big price difference it was worth the risk ended up loosing about 4 out of a dozen and 2 arrived a bit damaged but are making a come back:

The tiny one on the right is a broken tip that I decided nott o throw out. Believe it or not one of the two tips has already recovered very well and started encrusting the plug with some tiny growth tip appearing much faster than any coral i have ever seen.

This was a very unusual dark blue colored montipora like coral with very thin red polyps a bit similar to the montipora superman which unfortunately did not make it.

some better pics of the frags with Questions and IDs

Some type of Accro?
these were on the sand below the frag rack and I was told they might not ship well. Guess I got lucky!
they looked even lighter in the store and Now theyre darkenning up under my lights and getting a shade of green nice PE all the time. any info on ID and flow and light requirement?

Pavona?
didn't know they came other than green in color but I saw a big one in the store and it's got much better shape than the green one I have which I got really straight and is only now getting some shape
DSC_0358.jpg

got this one too which lost around 90 percent of it on arrival still on day 2 when it stopped sliming i could see some polyps and i't looks like its coming back.

This screeming green montipora was growing on the floor of the tank and was fragged for me.
got a bigger piece and 2 other smaller ones. looked much brighter green in the store than in my tank but still is nice.

Pink montipora

those 2 are frags of the same colony if I remember correctly however they look a bit different

Help is needed on followings:
-ID of those 2 light colored accros and placement info

Still confused about the lighting and flow requiremement of the followings:
ORA red Planet
ORA blue Accro
ORA green bird nest
ORA green slimer
Superman montipora
So far I have them all under medium flow and high light except for the green birdnest which is under medium low flow as I have lost other frags in higher flow areas so please do indicate which corals go from high to low order for flow and lighting.
all of them seem ok but the red planet and green slimer are showing less PE than in the store.
the blue accro is rarely showing 1-2 tiny polyps which reminds me of a big blue accro I had for months without any polyps which RTNd afterwards so help on placing this one is the most urgent.

also all my ora frags and the superman montipora have fully encrusted their pllugs the superman montipora is even fully grown on the plug from below somehow do you usually attach them tot he rockwork ofthe tank and allow them to spread on teh rocks or just get a smaller rock and drill it and place the plug in it?

Mabrouk!

Nice to see ORA corals in Lebanon.

I have all the ORA corals you have listed and have them placed in high flow/light. With all of my blue corals I have found that the higher I place them in the tank, the bluer they get.

The Green Slimer is very forgiving and hardy, although it will grow best with high light and high flow. Be sure to place it in a spot with ample space as it will grow quite large in a short period of time.

My superman Monti is growing great on my sand bed with medium flow.

I have my ORA Red Planet 3/4 of the way up in my tank with high flow.

I usually drill a small hole with a screw driver and then wedge the corals on the plugs into the holes.
