Maroun 150g Build Thread

Again time to revive this thread.
Was very busy over the last few weeks, did have many new additions which I'll post later on but will begin with some pics of Denmarks Aquarium visit. A very special place (as it was where I took the picture that made me win picture of the month and picture of the year here on RC 3 years ago) I visit this aquarium 1-2 times every year. Unfortunately they have plans to move to a new very nice location near the airport in 2013 and the quality of their tanks has been going down since the last 1-2 years as apparently they are just maintaining what they have while waiting for the move. so here are some of the pics I took while there:

Great Pictures and great display.
Thanks for posting. How about that photo of the year any link to it?
Did you already start the new tank build?

Thanks Aquafred.
New tank build is getting closer and closer. I expect to finish the legal registration of the appartment within a couple of weeks and then give it a couple of months to finalize a few remaining things and then the build should start. Still haven't find the time to start a build thread but it should happen soon now.
as for the photo that won me photo of the month and year it was the one below. The Theme for that month was scholing fish if I remember correctly. guess in nowadays picture taking standard this wouldnt even win a photo of the week... still I got lucky to capture all the fish in that tank schooling at the same time. It was very sad on the last visit to see that most of the fish I've been following since 3-4 years had died and the yellow tangs had shrunken in number to only a few and they had added a few convict tangs. also the whole tank that suffered the worst outbreak of mojano anemone I had ever heard off had been taken down and restarted so it was still cycling and full of Cyano.....

Some updates of the changes and additions of the last 2 months:

rescaped the rt side of the tank for the 3rd time to allow for more corals as I'm still trying to get as much corals to fill the new tank directly after the upgrade...

Had to install my DIY cube to hold the corals:

Added some eggcrate to help get a nice slope in limited space

Again was shocked by the amount of detritus collected in just a few weeks in teh rocks nad I'm starting to think that having those small rocks did allow for detritus to accumulate. so have to consider using large rocks only or maybe elevating rocks in teh new tank.
Final results:

And from the side before I inserted some rocks to hide it a bit

At least it did hold the corals I had and which I thought would be all I have before the upgrade.

And finally after a huge struggle to get some decent lighting for the upgrade I managed to get 3 250 W Lumenbright reflectors, 3 Coral vue 250 W Dimmable ballasts and a 3 Reeflux 12k 250W to start with. As well as some replacement bulbs for my 150 W MH.
No vendor would ship to Lebanon and I had to go on a group bye made by the reefers in Dubai so had allthose shipped to Dubai and then from there a friend put them in his luggage (or should I say brought them as luggage) to Lebanon... Ended up being a bit more expensive but at the end I finally have decent lighting.

Imagine two and a half bags as additional luggage:

Packing was great and everything arrived after a very long trip without a single broken bulb
