MARS 2007 Elections - 2nd Try

I am afraid that my inexperiance will show and I will need help, but I would be more than willing to take on the Treasure position should the members approve.

Like I said, with the boards approval, I'm going to try to automate as much of the work of those two positions as possible. With any luck, they will become simple data entry positions. The work will consist of collecting the forms/receipts and keying them in.

Also, I hope the new board will consider hiring an outside book keeper. That would eliminate much of the data entry work of the treasurer position and build in and additional check and balance. Also, tax time gets much easier.
 
I will run for secretary, I would love to greet all the new people to the club.

Wow! That was smooth. I think Karl just got nominate for a position. We just need to figure out which position though. ;-)

I wish I could be a part of the BOD, but I don't think I'd be able to put in the time that the club deserves. Plus, the meeting in Folsom is so far:(
 
Well, if you were sitting on the fence about running for a position on the prestiges board of the MARS club, you still have time to submit your name or the name of someone you feel would make a great addition to the team. Elections will be held at the December meeting which doubles as a Christmas party. Come on I know there is someone out there that wants to be vice president, or secretary.
 
I believe we have two names for both Web Master and Treasurer. We really could use more names for the other positions so the members have a choice.
 
I can understand the frustation the current BOD is going through. we run a regional auto club for the chevy avalanche and it can be tough getting people to stepup espeicaly when they find out what how much time and heart really goes into the running of it. But without new blood the club can tend to get into a rut and those that run it can get discouraged and frusterated.

The club's future is only as promissing as the core members that run and do have the time and ideas. This is no way takes away from the efforts and particapation of those that do not have the time as they are just as important to those that do.

Hope everything works out. If the club is ever interested in running its own forum I would be more than happy to help. Thats what I do for the Norcal Avalanche Club site.
 
Agreed. We do have two for public relations unless Justin decided to withdraw. He and Mandy Black both stepped up for that.
 
Rainy day today, so we rented a golf cart and drove around the island. Didn't see a flag towards Cancun.

I've seen the giant flag in Ensenada many a times.

Just talked to the hotel clerk and he said the flag has been down the past couple of days due to wind.
