My wife and I went to the last meeting and walked away learning o lot and totally enjoying our time with other people with similar interests. Thank you.

My question is how to become a member of MARS now. The website links seem to be broken. Can someone please help me so my wife and I can join? Please... :lol2:

David, I am glad you both had a great time. That was a small gathering as our meetings usually go, I will let Jeff know you are having issues with sign up.

Links are fixed -- Some update on the server side changed the file structure so I reset the software to point to the actual link verses the user friendly version. All old stored URL's for the site will be invalid going forward.

Thank you :)

That was a small gathering? EEK!!! What do you think is a large gathering? The 20 or so that were there would be considered a nice size gathering to me. :D

Woohoo, that was easy :)

Registered member now. Now you all have to suffer with me in dealing and reassuring my wife with what should happen with my tank.

You and your wife were a pleasure to sit near. And remember to tell the wife there are no dumb/stupid questions. We were all new at this at one time. Information is the key to enjoying this hobby as I feel frustration is the number one factor for people abandoning there tanks before they ever get a chance to enjoy them. Me and my wife only Started a year ago and almost threw in the towel before we found the meetings and a few good people at our local fish stores to get us on the right track. Now we enjoy our tank more than we thought we could. Even made a few friends here. It is a very fun/addictive hobby when you take the right approach to it.

plus 1. It's all about the right approach.

Thank you green. My wife isn't shy about questions but I guess she was a little intimidated with the amount of knowledge in the room. I'm sure the shyness will change once she knows more people in this hobby.

No need to be shy at all! We want folks of all levels to participate in the discussions... As I always say, I'm certainly not an expert at all and definitely not why I'm in the front of the room at the meetings.

Welcome!
