I'm afraid to answer that question. Lol.
But I am pretty confident that due to bypassing a quarantining period in a barren QT tank, and adding the Multifasciatus, C. earlei and C. rhomboidalis to an established LR and MacroAlgae tank for an observation and QT, was key.
Also, I waited for a long time for the perfect specimen, from a great collection point, grazing, eating in the LFS, also. Definitely not a fish that I would buy on impulse. Nor would I QT in a normal type environment. He received several praying treatments and a couple of dips.
The first food I always offer are a quality pellet, NLS almost always.
He is actually quite the bully in the tank. Not shy in the slightest! Stands his ground, and the pectoral fin streamers are growing longer and he's becoming even more gorgeous.
I'm going to try to snap Some better shots of the multibar now.... stay tuned....
