Marshall Island Display !!

I'm afraid to answer that question. Lol.
But I am pretty confident that due to bypassing a quarantining period in a barren QT tank, and adding the Multifasciatus, C. earlei and C. rhomboidalis to an established LR and MacroAlgae tank for an observation and QT, was key.
Also, I waited for a long time for the perfect specimen, from a great collection point, grazing, eating in the LFS, also. Definitely not a fish that I would buy on impulse. Nor would I QT in a normal type environment. He received several praying treatments and a couple of dips.
The first food I always offer are a quality pellet, NLS almost always.
He is actually quite the bully in the tank. Not shy in the slightest! Stands his ground, and the pectoral fin streamers are growing longer and he's becoming even more gorgeous.
I'm going to try to snap Some better shots of the multibar now.... stay tuned....

Just awesome. Gorgeous fish. I am working toward a similar set up, so I've been watching this thread. Not Marshall Island, but housing a Marshall Multibar and having a planted/reef tank. I am a long ways away.

Has it been nibbling on your macros?

on occasion, the multifasciatus has been caught eating the feather caluerpa, most of which has melted or been removed. Surprisingly, he doesnt pick at the big sponge growing on the LR, but does graze other little things off the LR.
I have had a Ricordea in their that he ignores completely, and am slowly gearing up the tank for Stony corals. I hope he doesnt have an appetite for SPS. But i will avoid clams and LPS.
I keep him well fed, so hes fat and happy.

Thanks guys! Hopefully it matures into a gorgeous reef tank!
Anybody have history with the Multifasciatus eating SPS polyps ?
Even after being weaned onto dry/frozen...
Thanks again!

The helfrichi, number 3, was rehab'ed and traded. Here's the current problem I'm facing. How much would this Gold Nugget Maroon Clown mess up the mojo I've got going on in this tank? If i include him, it's definitely no longer Marshall Islands themed.....

Since you already started it as a Marshall Islands biotope, I would learn towards keeping it that way. However it is your tank and so do what makes you happiest :)

Thank you! I would like to hear others opinions.
Its possibly the most anti-Marshall Isl. fish one could find!
A super-'designer'-captive-bred Premnas clownfish!
It will surely outgrow the tank, in time too. A giant Golden GSM would take over the entire tank and beat up all of the other lil guys.
I have a 3 inch wild GSM in another tank. I've had it for 3 years, yet it has stayed relatively small for the species. I wonder if its worth the risk of trying to pair this lil guy with the normal GSMaroon? Or would it be an assassination....

TBH, I'm a bit worried about freeing the lil guy from the Acclimation box. Not only does the Multifasciatus constantly check the Nugget through the box, but the wrasses check in on it too. It has me concerned that as soon as I release him, there is going to be instant bullying.
On the other hand, I have another Captive Bred GS Maroon in another system, thats much older but only about twice this Nuggets size. I was thinking of trying to pair them, but again, that could be a quick, costly disaster.

So he's still in the Box, eating pellets, flakes, frozen with gust, But its me whos having problems LOL. Any suggestions?

Well you could try moving him in the acclimatisation box to where ur GSM is and see their interaction?

It's a much larger tank which is shallow, aquascaped and planted. I'm not sure if the maroon would even notice the box.
Soo... If anybody in the NY area is interested and I can't find a suitable tank for him, shoot a pm my way.
As it is, other than releasing him into this display, the rest of my system might not be a great choice.

Here's a new video. I've been trying to capture the actual colors of the fish especially Earlei, but 5 they are quickly lost under LED and my crummy camera. So this video I started under 100% white LED then faded to 100% white/100% blue than faded to 100% blue LEDs.
