MASNA is now accepting applications for a $2,500 Student Scholarship being offered to marine-related majors.

At the annual Marine Aquarium Conference of North America (MACNA) conference, a deserving aquarium hobbyist will receive a $2,500.00 scholarship to help further his/her education in a marine-related field!
To be eligible for the MASNA Student Scholarship, applicants must be a current/entering graduate or undergraduate student at an accredited college or university and either:

Selection of the winner will be made by a special MASNA scholarship committee. The committee has five members: one from Academia, one from Government, a previous MASNA award winner, one from the marine aquarium Industry, and the MASNA Vice President. This will be the first year MASNA has presented a scholarship.
The deadline is August 4, 2009.

- a MASNA member or an immediate family member (son / daughter / step-son / step-daughter) of a MASNA member, or
- a member of a reef club that is a MASNA club member or an immediate family member of such member, or
- an employee of a MASNA corporate sponsor or an immediate family member of such employee
