Mass tank deaths overnight

It is really hard to find the active ingredients for Oodinex. Afer a lot of search I came up with a list that included copper and the majority ingredient.

essex_lad,
You post the ingredient list that are just mainly various color pigments. Are you sure that these are active ingredients? I know that the manufacture does not seem to provide this list.

I have had corals for a month and seem healthy also anemones a week which are also looking very healthy also before placing them in the tank I was doing water tests every day and they were all very stabble. Once the tang gets too large for the tank I have a nice home for it to go too. All fish but one was qt at the shop for 2 weeks so it's clear which is the start. Going by everything I have seen about the treatment it doesn't contain copper.

The shop doing qt is not the same as you doing qt. You don't know if they are doing it properly or what they may be treating & medicating with.

2 weeks isn't much time to gauge tank stability.

The tang is already too big for a 37 gallon tank. You need to listen to the advice here and slow your stocking down. With a tank only 2 months old, it is hard to diagnose whether your problems are caused more by overstocking, excess bioload, improper dosing of medications, aggression among inhabitants, etc etc etc.

Nothing good comes quickly in this hobby.

It will be the treatment you used. If I would you I would get rid of your rock and sand and start all over again. The copper will be in your rock and sand now ad it would of killed your shrimp not doubt about it. If you are going to treat fish your best bet is to put them in a separate tank and treat that tank by itself.

Ok so I am putting my fish in my friends qt tank a treating them. The tang, clown and firefish. In the mean time I will leave my tank for a couple of months to settle and let any paracite die off. I will also do a water test to see if there is any trace of copper even though the solution is said not to contain it.

Also I am still testing the water almost 2 months after cycle and the tests are still coming up the same as the day I started. Ph 8.4, nitrate 4ppm, ammonia 0. All water, sump, media, rock and one coral are from my brothers healthy tank. All that was new is the sand and tank.

You might bump it up twice that much. I had a 37gal tank a few yrs ago & did 7gal water changes weekly. What did you do w/ the anemones?

I have a poly wool filter built into my sump. The anemones are going to remain in the tank until I find out the results on the copper test as they look healthy at the moment.

With all the issues going on in your tank, I'd suggest re-homing the anemones for a few months until you get a handle on whatever is going on in there. Or sell them now & pick up one later after your tank has matured more. They may look fine now, but you've only had them a week; nems are sensitive creatures & won't do well w/ all the chemicals you've added.
