Through 4 separately dimmable light colors (neutral white, red, green and blue) you can achieve manifold light scenarious:

sunset and sunrise
thunderstorm / flashes
Mitras-Simu is normally used a an effect-lamp in addition to the main illumination and is not made to replace the main illumination.
For the operation of an Mitras-Simu-Stick the Mitras-Simu-Driver (see below) is required necessarily.

Dimming and effects are only possible with a propriate controller (e.g. ProfiLux or ManuDimm). Without controller the Mitras-Simu-Stick will be operated with 100% brightness.

its the port marked L1L2 L3L4 etc on the back of your controller which is your 0-10v interfaces.

Thanks again I did check the back of my unit and I do have the L1 L2 L3 L4 that are not being used so good I will be ordering two, one slave and one with the Profilux driver. I will put these on my 24'' Giesemann Infinity light fixture for my future 40 breeder SPS tank.

Small (55cm) is 21.65"
Large (95cm) is 37.4"

Starter Pack include the "Simu Stick & 1 Driver"
Add-on is just an additional "Simu Stick"

Each driver can drive 1-4 Simu Stick which is why you might want to get "Add On" units.

An EVG card doesn't necessarily come into play on this one. Unfortunately if you are running an EVG card at least one of your L ports are consumed which means you need the PLM-4L expansion card. This is where my system stands. I am running an LED array over my RSM130D which uses the EVG card and consumes one of my L-ports. I've got a PLM-4L expansion card coming in soon (maybe in the next week) so I can install my Small (55cm) SimuStick(s) into my system. I haven't decided if I'm going to install a single stick or a pair of them... Ahh decisions decisions

I'm VERY anxious to get mine going because my old Simu (several years old) died after I accidentally pinched the cord and end-plug in the hood.

I am only running a single channel on my Mitras SimuStick and I can tell you this... I MISSED my SimuStick... the thunderstorm is AMAZING and the geographically correct Lunar Simulation ROCKS!
