I have one arriving next week. What's the best immersion depth for the pump ? Thanks !

After reading through the manual I could not find a "best" immersion depth. The best I could find was a minimum maximum.

Immersion depth from 160 mm (6.3 in.) to 370 mm
(14.5 in.)

Anywhere in between that level would be good. Roger may have better insight.

Deeper is generally better, minimizing the difference between the water column in the skimmer vs outside the skimmer boosts the airflow.

When you say deeper is better, is that to the maximum recommended ? The reason I ask is that there is an older thread discussing this where you mentioned a problem with 60hz v 50hz pumps and airflow etc so I just wondered if there is an ideal depth.

9-11" seems to be what works best within practical limits of most peoples sump size.
