Master Electronic 1073.090 recirculation pump

Hey Roger,

I am about to purchase a new return pump for my 90g. My return on my tank is 1" plumbed and this pump is a 1.5" return. So can I use it to also feed my chiller which is located 10 feet away. I only need 700gph for the chiller and at least 900gph back to the tank. Will this pump work ?

Also I was reading that it can't be submerged in saltwater. Does this mean that it shouldn't be used for any saltwater application ?

Who has this pump in stock also for immediate delivery or can I just order through you for a quicker delivery ?

I was reading one of the other posts about this pump and you said that this is the only pump that can be submerged in saltwater but on the MD site it says none of them can be submerged in saltwater...

I think the smallest one dosen't have the aluminum cooling fins. Thus making it OK to submerge. I would still wait to get an official answer. hth

Yes it can be run submerged but be aware this is a big pump and it is loud unfortunately.

The pump apparently has some problem with the casting and I am getting new castings to try and it may not be so loud.

If you ever need someone to test it for you. I could help you out. I like the Tunze brand and would prefer to use this pump instead of the alternatives.
