Master Scoly Babies?

In post #4 you can see tissue spreading from each head, they didn't have a skeleton, and close like a zoa. Scolys don't close like that. I think they were just zoas
 
Well the OP was last active on 4/30/2013, but didn't update thread.
My guess is the coral didn't survive.
I still say they were scoly babies though. :D
 
This is a different sp. of scolymia but still a scolymia, so the reproduction patterns should be similar if not the same.

that's a meat coral (acantophyllia deshayesiana), completely different from scolymia sp.

it was mis-classed as scolymia for years, but was recently updated.

However, everyone and their mother still (incorrectly) calls them scolys or donut corals.
