Masterflex Pumps

I was looking for a dosing pump, and some members of this board suggested Masterflex pumps. As I looked into them, they looked like a great idea. I ordered one - I actually have two now - and they are both kind of noisy. They sort of have a little bit of a rattling sound to them. The sound comes from the motor/drive, not the pump/head. Is this normal? Thanks for any responses.

Mine does that too, especially if I crank it up a little bit. Luckily I normally run it pretty slow, so you actually can't hear it over my drain, it's still there though. Plus, I got it used so I'm guessing it's because of wear. I've got mine mounted vertically, so I'm not sure if that contributes to the sound as well. I wonder if a little grease could help?

Thanks woz. I got mine used too. It is a fixed 2rpm. I was just worried that it might be on its last leg.
