Mate died

So my roommate picked up an ORA pair of mated perculas yesterday and one promptly dove out of the tank 20 minutes after being put in. Should we worry about the remaining fish? If we get another one will they pair up, fight, or coexist?

We've already put eggcrate over all the edges to prevent the 2nd one from jumping out.

they should pair up again. if the one you still have is the large of teh two just get a small one. if it is the smaller.. you'll either have to get a really big one, or a smaller one.
