Mated Pair?

I have had a tomato clown in a nancube 12 for the past year. Since the clown was solo for a year I figured it had turned female. I upgraded to a nanocube 24, and figured I would like to get her some company. I went to Petco and got the smallest tomato clown I could find. I tossed it in the tank just to see what would happen. I figured I could pull him out at the first sign of fighting. To my surprise he went right over the female and stated hanging out. Its been 2 days and they are never more then a few inches apart, seem to sleep together, could it be this easy?

Well they are a bonded pair not a mated pair because in order for them to be a mated pair they need to mate.

I might be getting lucky, but I wouldn't count 2 days as them being bonded. After a couple of months, with out issues, then you can say bonded.

They will only be considered a mated pair after they lay eggs.
