Material for basement sump

I plan on building a nice dedicated area in my basement for the sump and water change station but i'm unsure of what material to use that will withstand moisture. The basement has very low ceilings. Just to give you an idea I'm 5'9" and the ceiling is an inch or two above my head. So, I can't put drop ceiling tiles in obviously but I was thinking of using hardboard. I really want to cover the joist under the floor for a more "clean" look. I can't think of any other material to use. I rent and got the owners approval to put up two or three nice walls one being against the foundation where the sump will be. I would rather not spend a bunch and put up insulation.

I would think you should be able to just use the same drywall they use for bathrooms? Those are designed to be in wet, moldy areas. Greenboard I think its called.

Or were you looking for something temporary that gives you easy access?

yep greenboard (I think its purple now actually)..
Just moisture resistant drywall.. Then a few coats of a good latex paint and done...
