They get bigvery fast,and aggressive. I bought a tiny one 3 months ago and now it is like 5" nice fish I guess:celeb1::celeb1::fish2:

Wow that's quite the growth rate
Nice fish, I had one for a while, it was only 3" when I got it, I had a 6' 125g, the lfs said it would be fine. Mine grew very fast, over 1/2" a month so I had to give it up.
It owned the tank, but it was very gentle with the other fish. I have read they can reach over 18" in the wild.

Ya I have had it less than a month and it has doubled in size already. I have it in a 125 long they didn't tell me at the LFS that it gets 20". I went back and told them I was going to make them put it in there 300 display when it got to big for my tank and they said ok so in about six months LOL

mine does well with the kole tang but not the blue. They are getting along so poorly I think I might be renting a fish trap in the not so distant future

Wow, what happened to the poor little guy? That is a TINY fish. Honestly, I don't like tangs that little...they aren't as hardy. Did you qt this guy? If so, how long? He really looks terrible, I hope he's eating for you.

Oh ya he eats!!! He has almost doubled in size in only a month. He heals in a day but then he goes after the blue again and again. l tried to net him yesterday but its useless he is way to fast!!! This has to be one of the hardiest fish I have ever kept. Its only too bad he is so aggressive.
