look on the bright side. if you ever decide to sell your house I am pretty sure that tank would count as an indoor pool.

Tank is truly amazing.

Thankyou very much GnbPkrs

wow, i just lost 2 days of my life reading through this. awesome build and i can't wait to see it all stocked up!

Thanks for taking the time to read the thread smirkis, its slowly built up a fair few pages.

me too. this is over 2 years for building this tank. a lot of money and time.

It certainly has mr.lamnguyen. If I had known it was going to take this long I may have not started. The biggest issue has been my work life, if I had a normal job the tank wouldnt have taken this long at all.

My wife told me yesterday that I can have an upgrade as soon as I buy her a huge house. Moving wont be on the cards for some time!

I grabbed some time last night and shot some video of the surge running. The first half is as it is under normal conditions. For the 2nd half of the video I introduced some air to highlight the flow.

Looking really good matt lookin at second half the flow rate looks real good m8 it's been great following this thread ,it's all lookin real good m8 look forward to more updates....

Kind of hard to tell what is surging without anything moving???

Yeah I know. If I had more time I would have done another version where I introduced some air into the surge so that you could see how the water is flowing...maybe next time :D

Thanks reefer dude

What we really need to see is a hapless human being thrown about onto the rocks to prove just what kind of surge you're made of.

What's causing that big V at the top centre of the glass? Is that just temporary?

Got a plastic aquarium plant?

haha

I was being sarcastic. The 2nd half of the video shows air introduced into the surge system and as such you can see the flow of the water :hmm5:

The "V" is caused by the centre brace bar and shadows formed from the lumenarcs. I dont expect it to be eliminated entirely but it is certainly more exaggerated at the moment because the water isnt crystal clear. Alson the video camera is looking up at the undersude of the brace bar which exaggerates it further.

This should have been called "1320.860262 gallon Display"

why?

Just kidding. I do LOVE the rockwork. It will give you a lot of room to place corals yet leave wide open spaces for fish.

Amazing build.
Looking forward to see the livestock in.
Can you please post:
What is the volume of water in the surge, how fast does it drop and every how often???

Thank you Maroun. I am surging around 300ltrs. I haven't timed how quickly it empties but I would guess its around 20 seconds and fires every 7 mins.

That surge is freaking awesome! It reaches clear across the tank. The corals will love it.

Thank you acesq

That surge has impressive movement and will create quite a dynamic moment for all the fish.

Thank you Rick
