Maxi-Jet 600 Question...

I have a 24 gal aquapod with 1 maxi jet 600 and 1 AquaClear 50 (402) Powerhead. For some odd reason the maxi jet keeps pumping out either small bubbles, or small particles? cant really determine what it is. I dont think its sand?

Any one know why this might be happening?

They honestly look like small bubbles. I dont have the adjustable areation tube on either of the powerheads.

I dont plan on keeping these 2 powerheads in the tank for much longer (probably only another week or 2) I will proabably be replacing them with 2 Koralia nanos.

Do you think its a bad idea to wait a week or 2 before replacing them?

bubbles (if that is what they are) won't hurt anything in your tank. As long as you don't mind looking at them for 3 weeks, go for it.

The prop could possibly be chipped and creating bubbles as it spins. Have you opened it up and taken a look at it?

no ill have to open it up and take a look at it! Thanks for the advise! Could I maybe pick up those pumps at the meeting? If that will work for you inless your going to be on this side of town any time soon?

Yeah that may end up working out best. I have another bucket of sand for Joe, so I gotta see what he wants to do. If we end up meeting earlier then we may be able to exchange the pumps then or something. I'll let you know if we decide to do anything before the meeting.
