Maxi-Mini Preference

I have been looking at pictures of these maxi-mini in others people reef tank here on reef central and reading that they like to be close or on rocks near the sand bed. I bought mine that is in one of those short plastic cup that fast food places use to put ranch dressing or marinara sauce about 1 1/4 inch high and 2 inches across filled with sand and it foot was attached very solid. When I got it home and after acclimating it,I buried the cup in the sand up to the rim in an open area on the sand bed about 3 inches from the nearest rock on the reef. I have a medium flow on him. It been 2 week since I got him and he has'nt move one bit. I am taking it like he is happy where he at or should I move it next to the rocks on my reef? I am also thinking , don't fix it if it isn't broke

I think it's happy if it hasn't moved in two weeks. I've seen them attach under shallow sand and appear happy and also attach to the underside of rocks and put their oral disk out into the light.

If he did not move he is happy ..that should make you happy
