maxi mini spawning...

This happened the day I added my maxi mini. Could see little white "egg"-like things coming out of it's mouth. Any one have this happen? Has anyone also seen them split in captivity? I have seen that many have tried manual propagation but what about natural propagation?

Spawning of maxis is common. Asexual reproduction for maxi-minis has not been documented, as far as I know.

Mine spawn quite often. Never had one split on it's own.

is sexual reproduction common? not just spawning but actually producing new little nems?

my guess is that it is fairly unlikely, but if it is actually successful that would be exciting news

I've never heard anyone report raising little nems. Since the last time mine spawned I've removed all filters from my tank so I'm eagerly waiting the next mass spawn.
