Maxijet and Penguin Mod pics

Hey, who am I to get in the way of boozin it up? A man's gotta stand for somethin'. I believe Im also off Tues or Weds, so just lemmie know when works for you. Thanks Dale.

Nothing showed fri. by 3:30 and I wasn in Sat am to do some paperwork and no UPS stickers. Some places just jerk areound when shipping and I hate it!!! Grrrrr

No biggie, just about finished with the tank, gluing the overflow together today, hopefully test fill it tommorow, so when theyre ready, Ill be ready. I am off all day Wednesday, and then I work until Sunday so hopefully they are done by Weds, but Ill take what I can get.

They're here... finally. I'll work on 'em a bit this afternoon, and finishe them tomorrow AM. Call my cell 719-3530 and we can arrange a pickup here at the office. I'm all but buried in work but should be here most of the morning.

Alright, I just got home from work, had to do a double today. Ill give you a call tommorow around 10AM? That work? Thanks Dale.

That's me celly... I have to put a few finishing touches on the cowl's and shoot a coat of fusion on 'em and they be dun.... I figured that if you were off today you could comeot the office and pick up the pumps. If you want to MapQuest it look-up 171 Folsom St. , Warren zip is 44483

I'm in a small strip plaza about 100 yds. past McDonalds.

Alright, as I figured I would, I am running into trouble mounting these in the rockwork. Im gonna mess with it a bit more, but the spaces between my liverock to fit the powerheads is causing the rockwork to be too large to fit the structures that I wanted to fit. So Ill get back to you Dale, but I may just need 3 mounting brackets now.

Ah the costs of innovative aquascaping.....

Yea definitly gona end up needing the mounting brackets. I got ****ed off and just stacked the damn rock. Live rock is just too fragile to drill without breaking it in ways that you dont want. So, whenever you feel up to making them, just let me know how much. As usual, thanks Dale.

We need to go over their configuration so you can place 'em where you need 'em. Custom for custom... Ya baby! I have about $10 in materials and 30 min. each to make the brackets. If you need 3 we'll make 'em for a $25 gift certificate to the restaraunt. Sound fair? I likes to eat so...

Sounds good. Im gonna be mounting 2 on opposite sides near the top and one in the back at mid height. Id imagine the best setup would probably be the way you have them in your tank, with the mount behind the powerhead.

I'm thinking about a new design and an angled mounting tab. I can make a wrap-around bracket that will bring the pump 1/2" closer to the glass and I can set the mounting tab at an angle that aims it in such a way that the pumps can be installed toward the back yet still get good flow to the front. Think of a straignt line from each back corner to the front center then the 3'rd in the back center. Should be awesome flow...

Agreed, but I didnt stack my rock against the back glass. I have it rising up near the top in the center, I left space in the back behind the rock. So if it is in the back corner alot of the flow will probably just blow against the back of the rock, however I am up for experimentation.

Ya, I knew what you were cookin' up. I'm thinking about a tianglular overlapping flow pattern with the center leg of the left and right triangles being a "disruptor". Should make for nice coverage, lots of flow, and random patterns. That and a hot chick on yer lap and life iS perfect... :)
