The mod is awesome Dale! I had to play with placement to satisfy all in the tank, but it's amazing what it can do. Also, I found another way to reverse direction of impeller. Instead of lifting to the water surface, I just place a few fingers over the designed discharge area (which is the inlet when operating in reverse) and this creates the needed cavitation to reverse flow.

Yup, I have done the same. The flow boost is really gonna perk up your tank too..

Hey Dale. First of all want to say that I feel your pain from the flood. I just got on rc now. I'm not sure whre you are, but if there is anything I can do, let me know.

In the meantime, would you think that 2 of the mods in my 75g would be too much (both are mj 900)? If so, is it possible to devrease flow by narrowing side intake slots? Have you tried this? You could put the mod $ towards basement repairs?

Ray, we could simply cut down the surface area of the prop and accomplish the same thing. Where you asleep during fluid dynamics class? LOL
