Does anyone want to go in on a package for a maxijet mod?

the ones we purchased were $100 for 4 units.....but some one would need to cut the rods to the required sizes.

If an order of over $200 is placed they will do a 10% discount.

Something has me confused (admittedly not a difficult task). I thought you had to order 4 (for about $100.00), but I ordered 2 today for $39.98 with $5.99 shipping for a grand total of $45.97. I ordered the high flow kits for the 1200 and worried that I might be on the wrong site because I never found a 4 x kit.

There are two types of kit, we prdered the deluxe one with different sets of fittings in it. We also did not use the shroud to stop the vortex a powerful pump can create.

I looked on their site, and it looks like they took the delux kits off.
The only ones listed are the regular kits with the stainless steel
rods, which are 21.99 each.

I do remember seeing the deluxe kits, the first time I looked at
their site several weeks ago.

Anyone yet get a list from local places on where and how much a piece together kit would cost locally???

Well, I did 2 of them with mixed results. I think they may be a little more than my 75 can handle. I put two on opposite sides with a wavemaker controller and had a sandstorm within 10 minutes. They were also a little noisy even after I used the magnet mount that reef chili sells. Lastly, I couldn't get them to where they always went forward. They seemed to want to run backward about 1/2 the time (go figure).

Anyway, I now have two of them for sale real cheap (like make me an offer). I have replaced them with conventional 1200s and my fish have calmed down again.
I don't think I'd use them on anything smaller than a 120 maybe, but here is an opportunity to find out if you like them for a fraction of the pump & kit cost.

i think it comes down to you pay for what you get ....i will be waiting on the new nano streams to come out myself then maybe i can get rid of two or three of my regular maxijets

BTW i have around 6000 GPH flowing in my 90 and the sand bed stays put

I just made one and use it on my 75 with two Seio 620's, it works great. I had vibration noise at first, but I rebuilt the impellar assembly and used teflon tape around the carbon fiber tube that goes into the magnet for a very tight fit. Worked like a champ and now it's super quiet.

I am amazed at the resoursefulness of determined individuals (I have some, but never considered using teflon tape).

I think they are spoken for at this time. If not, I will post again.
