I also tried both ways of doing the mod but like the impellor the way I showed.
AquaPython - I have run one MJ Mod with the Dumas prop in a gyre flow style 24/7 for over a year along with a CL and have had great results.

so now that you guys have tried a bunch of different mods and variations, i am pretty confused but what would you suggest to add for flow for 150g? i have a CLS with return manifold on the top but it obviously needs alot more as i am just getting into SPS.
right now its mostly LPS and softies but left the top half of my rocks pretty barren for SPS.
anyway which would be the best flow? quietest and cheapest to do?
i already have 2 MJ 900s i want to use.
i expect i can order those 80 lbs disc magnets and glue directly to the MJ's. please help clarify?!
I’ll try and get some better pictures tonight. Basically I just used an exacto knife and trimmed the front of the Dumas prop/impellor to match the ECO Mod. It was pretty easy.Originally posted by dhnguyen
Well if you ever want to mod it to use a larger propeller you might be better off with the sureflow kit since it uses a stopper tab. Not sure how you would incorporate the "counter screw" stopper onto another propeller.
