I have a 125 gallon tank (72x18x23) and purchased two of these kits. Very simple install and very quiet. I was very surprised to see this powerhead push the water from one end of the tank to the other. This is my first experience with high powered powerheads so this is a very big step in flow for me I also ordered the 80lb pull magnets that i am waiting to arrive which i feel is a must have because those suction cups stink.
I am running lps/softies and will have to rearrange things to accomodate the added flow.
Now i have to look for a wavemaster pro or similar. What do you guys reccomend using?
I just ordered 2 of the sure flows as well. I was already running a diy maxi mod and you really need to get creative with placement. For a 125 gal you really shouldn't have too many problems. I have them on a 90 gal (48" long), once the sand has settled to where it wants to be it should be fine.
I'm not sure that you can set the duration on the wave master.
i have the 80lbs magnets , they are epoxy coated its not going to scratch anything, i have mine on an acrylic tank, the only thing you should be worried about is when you attach the magnet these things are powerful you dont want the magnets to slam on each other then you might have a cracked tank, becareful.

i finally got my 2 sureflow kits in for the 1200's. these things do add alot of flow but mine are noisey! i think they're coming apart at times. will this get better? i have read where everyone elses are quiet.
for some reason mine have never made any noise, altho my maxijets were pretty slimy because i was using it in the tank prior, usually it should quiet down as the prop and magnet get gunk in it. the only time mine has made noise is when trying to spin backwards.
Um guys... You don't REALLY need the 80 lbs magnets. Just something in the range of 35-40lb pull force would be plenty. Unless your glass is especially thick I wouldn't get the 80lb'er
