maxima on bottom of tank

i made a retard move and placed my new 5" teardrop maxima on the bottom of my tank. now, a few days later, i've read that this should have been placed in the rockwork.

i'm 99% certain that the clam has already attached to the bare bottom acrylic so it's going to be difficult to impossible to move it.

it appears to be getting plenty of light - it's mantle does not look overextended. i use 250w se xm 10k bulbs w/ electronic ballasts (lots of par) in lumenarc mini reflectors over a 24" depth tank.

any advice? will the maxima be ok long-term?

sorry for the n00bishness - i'm not a n00b to the hobby, but am a n00b to maximas.

thanks,
ben

that's enough. i tested the par on my tank(23") about 115 at the bottom of the tank with SE 250W XM 10KK on LIII mini.

agreed, you should be fine. I keep several maximas on the bottom of my tank (24" with 4" sandbed) and have the 250w DE XM10K on an Icecap ballast. I've had some for several months now and they are showing new shell growth.

sweet. thanks!

here is the clam. does it look happy to you?
