It's spring ,that iffy time of year when one day can be very warm and the next very cold. The water temp never goes below 79 F thanks to the heaters, but on a warm day like today it may get as high as 83 F. It will be like this for about the next month until I get the A/C's installed. In your opinion at what temp. will stuff start to have problems (bleaching, stess and or death). My tank is a mixt reef, so far things don't seem to be affected.

84 F.

Ditto on the fan. Bought a small 10" box fan from Wal Mart and laid it across the top of my sump. Temps went down 5 degrees. Cost only $10.

It looks like he actually uses 3 MH's.I used to have a 65G & ran 2 x 250 MH on it.If he has the same dimension 65G I had, then it is 24" tall,so 250 MH are really good at putting plenty of light on the bottom for clams etc.The trade off of course is all that heat.

Why do you use 2x250W MH on a 65G tank???
I would use it on a 40.

But 84F is the teetering limit.
