Maximum ricordea size

Hi there,
We are having a discussion over at a Danish reef forum, and I hope you guys can help us out.

What is the maximum diameter of Ricordeas? The book "Aquarium Corals" by Eric Borneman says they grow to 1-1.5 inch, but there are guys in Denmark stating they have Ricordeas around 5 inches..

Has anyone here experienced this aswell?

Ricordia Florida or Yuma? I have seen Yumas 5in diameter & Floridas 3in. They may even get bigger than that.

There is a pink yuma at the LFS display tank that looks a little larger than 5 inches in diameter.

I got a 7 mouth florida that's about 2" wide, 7" long......

I only have a few Ricordea that small, most are in the 2-4 inch range. I think I have one thats really tiny at a 1/4 inch.

I have two yumas that are about 5inches, a pink and a yellow. The largest fl i have is about 3inches

i just cut a florida ric that was 5 inches..in thirds..i got many yumas 4 inches or over...

A LFS in my area has a display tank full of rics. There are several in there that are 6"+ in diameter
