I'm just starting a little tank in a small wall space. Dimensions are :
700mm L x 300mm D x 900mm H.
Can anyone provide some advice on which LED system to use please?
I'm intending to keep:
near bottom : zoas, rics/mushies, maybe LPS
Mid water : LPS, plating SPS
top : poss SPS

For anybody who knows more about these lights than me, which is just about everyone, I was thinking about using 2 G-2 170s on my new tank build which will be mostly SPS. Tank dimensions are 36x36x24 deep. Would this work well. I really like the look of these but might go with a 10x39watt powermoduel from ATI. Any information would be helpful!

i need some help peeps
i have been doin some research and i'm set on ordering up one of these MaxSpect units this weekend...maybe even tomorrow
question is is which one to buy...i'm thinking the 110 model will work for me...but not quite sure
i have a 30" long its 18 hight...only bout 16-17" to the top of the sand....bout 12" to the back of the tank
do you think the 110 will work???
the 160 seems kinda overkill and it's a big jump in price between the two
i will have some sps in the tank....i don't wanna invest and not be happy u know
i wish i could get a 110 with two 15watt leds...that would be awesome
let me know asap...i would like to spend some money..haha

I have a 210 mostly sps tank, i have 3 400w mh with 4 96w pc, i would love to swtich to led if i can. All the research i have dont leads me towards max s or vertex, orphuk looks good but the coverage is limited, i would need at least 4 maybe 5. Vertex is not cheap. The question i have is how many max g2 160 do i need or would i be better off with the 230w. Any help will be appreciated.

i just don't wanna get the 110w and be disapointed and be out all that money
nobody local here has them either...sux...i even asked a couple LFS they both tried to sell me the AI's
i wish the 160 was cheaper...such a big gap
they should make a 110 model that comes with 2 extra 15w.....i think that would be perfect....under 500 would be amazing!!!!!!!!!!

I have a G2-110W over my 20" x 20" x 20" cube and it seems to be fine. I had the same debate as you with myself and I'm pleased with my choice so far. I'm now debating optics and a few lamp changes to play with the color a bit.

I run dual 110's with 60* optics over a 2'x4'x16" tank. The fixtures are hung about 9" above the water. I have plenty of light for everything I want to grow. I was torching SPS (brains specifically) on the sandbed.
