May CARC Meeting

Let me know what day everyone wants to meet, the 24th or 31st. With the swap set for the 6th of June, the 24th would probably be best. Let me know what works for everyone.

I am going to talk to the wife about being the host for this meeting, I should have an answer by Monday evening.

If everyone is OK with Sunday May 24th@2:00, the meeting will be at my place in Fultondale. I will post the address as the date gets closer.

I will probably have a different menu than wings, kinda hard to compete with yesterdays:lol: If anyone has a suggestion, let me know.

I hope that everyone can make it. We will use the opportunity to discuss the upcoming Coral Market.
 
Memorial Day Weekend?

Memorial Day Weekend?

I just realized that this weekend is Memorial Day weekend. Is this going to interfere with being able to attend the meeting? If so, we can move it either up a week or back a week. Let me know, my schedule is very flexible.

I would also like to extend an open invitation to anyone in the Birmingham area that would like too attend this meeting. The meetings are very informal and there are no dues

We talk about our tanks and try to help each other solve any problems that we may have. We are just a group of like minded people sharing ideas about the reef aquarium hobby and getting together to eat.

I look forward to seeing anyone that wants to attend.
 
If your meeting date gets changed, please PM me. I have to work Memorial Day weekend, but would love to come down and visit from Huntsville if you all don't mind. NARC is currently scheduled for Memorial Day weekend too, but it may change also. Hopefully they won't both change to the same day.
 
I'm good with memorial day weekend or earlier. The 31st I will be at the beach, but you can depend on me to help at the swap. You can always fill me in when I get back on June 1.
 
I don't think we (NARC) are changing our date for the meeting from Satruday 23rd, Teresa.

CARC members are always welcome in our meeting :).

Tomoko, I've been watching the thread and pretty much knew the date wasn't changing. Hopefully, I won't have to work for the next one. Fred should see you all soon.
 
Allright, who is planning on coming to the meeting. I am trying to get a head count so I can go to the grocery store this Friday.

The address is 318 Chapel Creek Way, Fultondale, Al
It probably won't come up on any GPS systems, the apartments are fairly new. Take I-65 to exit 267 (Walker Chapel Road). If you are going North, turn left and if you are going South, turn Right. It will be the first left after the road narrows from 4 lanes to 2 lanes (Ellard Road). There is a cemetery on the corner. The apartments are on the right.

When you turn into the apartments, you can either turn left through the first gate (last building, last breezeway, first floor back right corner #318) or you can go straight through the second gate (3rd building on left, last breezeway, first floor front right apartment #318)

Hey guys, My name is Nate, I am very new and very green to the hobby! I started my 1st fresh water tank about 3 months ago and loved it but was way more interested in salt water! So i got a crazy good deal on a 55 gallon w/ wooden stand on craigslist and decided to start a salt water up! I have been reading and studying non stop for the past couple weeks! But I was very excited to hear about the club and the meeting this sunday!:D So Ricky I know I dont know you but throw a couple extra pieces of chicken on the grille for me!:cool: If I have to call in to work Ill be there! If anyone has any words of advice, I would love to hear them! Cant wait to meet you guys!

You are more than welcome to attend the meeting and we will have plenty of food and advice to share. Looking forward to meeting you on Sunday.
