Activity:ARKSC 3rd Annual DIY Fish Food Extravaganza

We'll be making our homemade fish food, provide enough of people donate items.

Recipe from our previous DIY Fish food has been:

Shrimp (cleaned),
Some sort of white fish filets,
Clams
Nori
Mysis
Flake and pellet food.
Selcon
Cyclopeeze
Scallops

I'll bring the Bags and Food Processor. We'll also need some help bagging and prepping.

Update: Time is 3 to 5 pm on Sunday, May 6th.

Are there any volunteers to help & bring stuff? If not we can do it at a later date, provide we have enough interest.

Count me in! Bob rocks!! I'm able to help with whatever. Count me in for scallops and clams. How much of each? Bay or sea scallops? On clams, they usually have some freshly chopped stuff in containers near the fish counter. I'll make sure there's no preservatives inside. If there are, I'll buy a bunch of chowder clams and open them the night before.

I'm in too I have a fish market near my house so I can get some shrimp or squid. If you want something specific they probably have just send me a message

At least as of now I plan to attend. If I come I will get raw shrimp.

I'm in too. However, anyone coming needs to volunteer food. Can't take "maybes" on food provision, because if a "maybe" turns out to be a no-show, then we don't have some food we were depending on.

I'll commit to the bringing whatever we don't yet have committed the day before the meeting. Except Selcon or Cyclopeze. Don't have those.

Should be a great meeting. Fuz has scallops and clams (the chopped ones are fine), looks like gdubs will bring his gigantic bucket o' pellets, I'll bring the bags, food proccssor, Cyclopeeze, Selcon and some Nori. The russos will bring the shrimp.

I can bring Squid. I get it a the fish counter or frozen? Never bought it for the fish tank before. How much?

Still up in the air if I can make it so don't want to sign up for something and leave everyone hanging. Will bring some type of white fish if I am able. What type of fish have we used previously?

Chris, I think 1/2 pound should be enough.

RJ - cod, sole, flounder, grouper, haddock, halibut, Lemon sole, monkfish, pollock, red snapper, sea bass, skate, tilapia, turbot and whiting. So what ever you choose. I think last time we used Tilapia.

I might have a new reefer coming. If so, he wants to bring something. What should I ask him to bring?

I told Stephanie my wife I had to buy shrimp for the club meeting tomorrow. She was like "geese, we why do you guys need to eat shrimp? Shrimp is a lot of money! Why not do burgers or something?"

You should have seen here face when I told her it wasn't for us!!!

Lol that's funny Steve. Gdub, he can bring whatever seafood he wants, but I think we have it covered.
