Mark your calendars boys and girls the next meet/Swap will be:

May 6th more info and flyer will follow shortly.

There is interest to do more trades at this one as well so bring plenty of frags to trade with. Every one bringing in over 3 frags will receive 3 extra tickets for the grand prize drawing at the end of the meet. Remember if you sell bring your own table.
</b>

<b>
BTW guys lets use this one thread for all questions & communication regarding the May swap. It may be hard but lets try to stay focused on the end goal.</b>

Phil has the demos lined up and I need an official list of demos to include on the poster.

We need a 4 foot table for the trade blanket (this will be explained in great detail soon)

MORE TO COME...

Here is what people say they are doing, if they can't make the meeting, we need to know so we can schedule something different.

Brian- floatswitches and top off stuff.
Nathan (if available)- tank drilling, if not he can let me borrow his bits and I will try it. If we can get an old tank donation.
Spinnerbayt- Overdriving Bulbs
Phil- Test kits, chemistry

Nathan, we need to know if your in or out on the next meeting. If your not here, your mom could bring the bits to me and I can try to demo drilling a tank. If it does not work it will atleast work the crowd for the next demo.

Photo Contest Mary? If so what when how etc....
<b>
The Theme will be: "Our 3rd year Celebration"</b>

Volunteers line up and be heard, ideas are needed ASAP.

Since this will be an anniversary meeting, 3 years now, I am working on acquiring a big prize
:thumbsup:

grrrr im going to be leaving for vacation that day. I was hoping to make this one.........

Hopefully i will be able to make the next as it will probably be my last opportunity.

How exciting! We are ACTUALLY getting organized!

Phil, I knew you were the man for organizing the demo's!
Great job!

Mary, you take fantastic pictures and spend a great deal of time preparing and organizing the photo contest! We need to display your awesome work and the winner might want bragging rights! We need a small presentation every month to recognize the winners! You and I talked about a eisle to display past contest winners. Would you be able to put it together for us on a monthly basis? I think photo contest participation would go up if folks could see the awesome prizes people are winninq!

Ron and Phil, let's get together and try to set up a iteniary for the day! It does not have to be in stone. I feel we need guidlines on the amount of time we spend in the different activities.

Last month a few folks were disappointed they did not get in on the door prizes and drawings. I tried my best to let everyone know it was time to do the prizes. I felt really bad for them and don't want that to happen again!

The games, door prizes, raffles, etc. will always be IMMEDIATELY after the demos! We need to move in that direction to dispense all the GOODIES! After that people are on their own! Some folks drive a couple of hours and would like to go home! Others will stay and browse tables.

What time does the meeting start? Last month some of us (me) did not realize time was moved from 2:00 to 1:00.

Looking forward to seeing all you guys!

This is posted in it's own thread but I thought maybe I should post it here as well.

Phil runs the demos and he is in charge of setting time limits on demos based on how many there are etc...Yep people come from miles around, expect meeting to last anywhere from 4-5 hours with the prize drawings after the last demo and closing remarks. Im still working on a good prize for the drawing as well.

We need an official greeter to tell everyone about the prizes and to reward them for bringing 3 frags or more to the swap, (you get a free ticket for the grand prize and 2 extra for raffle if you do).

I think as a rule of thumb, demos should not be longer than 15-20 minutes. If the subject is complicated then more time can be allocated.

excellent Phil!

I thought I saw Chris raise his hand to be the greeter for this meeting? I may be mistaken but I thought he already volunteered!

Double check with him to make sure, I happen to know he got volunteered. But I think he did finally agree.

I believe Chris did raise his hand for that part? If so that would be great as he is a serious "people person" IMO. If not then please consider this request Chris. I will also have some info for the greeter to hand out at this one.

This isn't Mothers Day is it? I think it always falls the Sunday before my Mom's birthday and her bday is the 9th.
