Man I need to keep up with the threads before I speak, huh? hah hah.

I will bring a side and a dessert. I'm not sure what side dish though...what about baked beans? I make some good ones using Bush's vegetarian baked beans as a starter. Lil' onions, lil' garlic...lil' cookin' on the stove = yummy beans (and vegtetarian!).
 
bacon, bacon, bacon, where's the bacon in those beans?:D jk

well, then after I write that the only thing I can think of is veggie kabobs to go on the grill.... :rolleyes: and beer:p
 
Chris...hah hah. I think I better get out of the way of a lot of the guys in the club when it comes to pork and beans. Eddie makes rocking beans...if he were going to the meeting you'd see some pork!

Zack...great! Now I won't be the only one! woo hoo!

So is everyone set with their selected fishies to talk about???
 
Heh. I mis-read your post and thought you were bringing fish for food for a moment.

One of these days, we need to have a fish-fry at our meeting. :)
 
Just found out that I can attend the meeting on Sat.

Do I bring baked beans with beef and pork, or something else? I can bring BB without the B & P also, if you want Mel.

I had said that I'd bring beans but your beans are better Eddie. So you bring beans and I will bring something else! I had a dessert in mind anyways, ya know?

Can you bring both kinds? Me and Zack can eat the meatless ones!
 
I *may* be able to make it depending on how far along I am on packing. We are going to be catching a plane to Alaska at 6:30am Sunday:eek1: :eek2: (I am going to be crabby!)

So, If I am packed, and running on time, I will do a drop in. Though I won't bring food :p I will make up for it next time!

Would it be possible for each person who plans to say something about "there fish" to write it down. Then somebody, Don the secretary, could compile the info for us old people who would like to remember all that is said but knows that they will not?

I don't know how many people are coming but it sounds like a lot. Lately the meetings have been packed, which is great!

I am not sure that everyone will write down things about their respective fish since so many people are talking about different ones. It's basically just going to be a general discussion about the different fishes in a reef tank, so maybe you could bring a tape recorder Eddie?

Or you can always ask later on, once you have your tank set up, for people to remind you about different reef fishes if you keep in mind which ones you were particularly interested in.
 
OK, Ok, I was thinking that if we had some information that was available to those who wanted it, it could be helpful to new-to-the-hobby folks like me.

I knew it would not take me very long to write down what I know, which of course could be embarrassing. BUT, for some of you folks, you probably would not have time between now and the meeting to write down all you know.

First hand information is not always applicable to other situations also. Just thought that since we have a lot of expertise and experiences in the club, if it was listed and tied to a name, I would know whom to bug when I had a question. Ha,HA!

Eddie, just post a thread with whatever question you have at the time and you will be bombarded with answers... The thing about reefing is that no two tanks are alike... And everyone will have different experiences with similar items... Thats why these forums are so great!!! You don't have to count on any one person to bug... Everyone is eager to help and we learn from each other's experiences...
