Maybe a dumb carbon question

Has n e 1 used the marineland premium activated carbon in the saltwater tanks? I'm only asking because some1 put doubt in my mind abnout it..the only thing I can find researching the web is that it say for use in all filters. Just can't shake that so.e1 told me it will harm my fish. Don't k ow y. I ended up with a whole gallon jug in a lot of fish stuff I picked up so don't want it to go to waste...thx in advance.
