I was taking some rock out of my tank to cook it a little before putting them in my new tank. About a hour or so later my wife asked what this was. I am thinking it is some kind of Sea Slug, kind of cool looking! Anyone have any idea?
Yeah, it's an Elysia species (Sacoglossan, and vegetarian), so you needn't worry about it. You'd have to have some pics from different angles, including the top, to have a good chance of getting it ID'ed to the species level.
Lol it took forever with my camera to get a pic that good! out of 20 blurry pics that one came out great. It is only 1/4" long. Thanks for the info tho. I am thinking about upgrading cameras. Any recommendations?
Most all of the new cameras that have a macro mode will work. My niece has a cheap one that takes better macro pics than my expensive camera, simply because it will focus at a shorter distance. I need an SLR... My main recommendation for taking pics of small animals is to remove them from the tank, and photograph them in a dish of water. Just a bit of an angle keeps the flash from reflecting in the water, and it's much easier to get great pics.
