Maze Brain Flow

Does anyone have personal experience with Maze Brains? where do they like to be placed in a tank in terms of light and flow . Right now i have 12k 250w x3 on my 135 Long

Most I've seen on here, including my own, are on the bottom. I believe in the wild, they're usually found growing on the substrate rather than on ledges and rock close to the surface.

I've seen some crazy nice ones on here. Mine's very average. I leave it on the bottom with light flow going over it and it's always been a struggle. Always some part of it lightening up and it rarely extends much for feeders. Looks great under the actinics though.

I've had mine for almost 6 years now and its been everywhere in my tanks. Its now in an SPS dominated tank on the bottom under a 250w DE HQI halide with lots and lots of flow and its never looked better! It's absolutly the slowest growing coral I've ever owned which makes you really respect the very large Platygra colonies in the wild.
