This is an MTC Pro Cal IV. powered by an Iwaki 70. I don't believe they make them any more. I bought it at a garage sale a few weeks ago.
I'm unsure which injectors it is using. It has 4 but is only running on 3. One of the injectors was spitting water from the intake hose, so I clamped the intake hose shut.
I need to shut it down and check out the injector, but it looks so darned cool that I just can't bring myself to shut if off.

Oh well., maybe when I move it to the new tank, I'll look then.

Big reef, I think the "injectors" have a stamp on them so you know which model it is.

I was wrong, mazzei said 584 would work but recommended 2- 1078s with a mak4 pump

Hi All
I have a 30"tall 10"dia DIY skimmer (pic's in galery) that currently has a Sedra on it in closed loop and am thinking of replacing that with a Mak4 I have. Any sugestions on Mazzei injector model to use would be great.
Some were near the begining of this thread it was mentioned of a possible injector to pump table may be available and if it is were could it be found.

Jim, (just curious) whats wrong with your NW skimmer?

I use mazzei 684 with mag 18 and its working really well. Pics on my gallery...

I'm building a duel 6"x36" skimmers run off a mak4. They suggested 2- 1078's. I would think that should work for your setup as well.

Just to let you guys know, i bought Lunchbuckets skimmer that he built and talked about earlier in this thread. I put it on my 100 gallon and let me tell you, this thing is a skimming monster.
If you are thinking of making somthing simular to his skimmer, it will be worth it.

Needle wheel is working but I wouldn't mind cranking it up a bit.
As for the Mak pump does anyone know what the pressure would be at the injector. Just I can't figure out why 2 1078 injectors would be needed. Unless the pressure is low.

I've been to every website listed on this thread but have not been able to find a retailer that carries Mazzei 684 3/4" injectors. I was just wondering where those of you who purchased this model injector were able to get one from. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the info. Neither of them had the correct injector so I ended up just ordering directly from Mazzei.
