MB7 + Vodka ... + Anemone?

Anyone have / foresee any issues with using the mb7 and vodka combo popular for SPS coral tanks while also having an anemone in the tank (specifically s. gigantea?)

in essence the technique increases the bacteria count in the tank, and in doing so (as the bacteria multiply they) reduce phosphates / nitrates etc.

i dont have any prior experience with this technique.

I don't see any problem either. The idea is to remove the bacteria through heavy skimming, as soon as possible.

I'll be starting vodka dosing soon myself. I have gigantea, magnifica, and haddoni in the same tank, so I hope this doesn't cause problems. I'll be starting very slow though.

cool thanks for the replies.

i've wondered if vodka has any affect on the livestock, particularly anemones. i've heard that in some places they put fish in alcohol before cooking them and you can see the fish start to swim wobbly like they are drunk. i know we dont add that much vodka to the system but presumably there could be some impact if it were at a certain level.
