McCoskers Wrasse being picked on by Blue Chromis

I added a McCoskers Flasher Wrasse to my DT last night when the lights were off. This afternoon I ran home from work and fed them - he ate like a pig. '

Blue Chromis I noticed was picking on him it seemed just a bit. The Flasher is the biggest thing in the 100 Gallon tank, and the chromis is the smallest. Not sure if I should wait a day or just pull him out when I get home?????? I only have 4 fish in the tank, lots of hiding space.

It's not BAD bullying, but I'm trying for a 100% stress free environment with my fish selection, that' why I chose this wrasse.

McCoskers Flasher Wrasse
Royal Gramma
FireFish
Blue Chromis .

I'd leave them be if it's not that bad. Even with all "peaceful" fish, there will be posturing amongst the tank mates.

OK - I thought I'd give it a day. Got worried though because My wife called and said, "He's bullying" the new one. The lights will be off and everything will be sleeping when I get home. I've wanted a McCoskers for some time, and he was in a QT tank for a while, I don't want anything to happen to him

Thanks, that makes me feel a little better. The tank he was in, had a Foxface and a Chromis, and he was chasing a Chromis around. I thought, well, that's good, he can handle his own. Hopefully he will be ok

A laudable, but impossible goal IMO. I've found Chromis to be bullies, particularly in smaller tanks, and the Gramma can be a PitA as well. But, give it a few days at least, maybe even a week, because things will almost certainly settle down. Key is to feed the tank such that the newcomer gets a chance to eat.

Whenever I have a new fish, OVERFEED the first few days to make sure they are getting enough. Few extra water changes wont' kill me this week. Told my wife too for the next feed, but more in than normal.

You guys were all right - That McCoskers Wrasse, becoming my favorite fish ever, is now holding his own and has turned it around on the Blue Chromis now.
