Mechanical filtration / Cleaning up your bare bottom tank

Hi,

I am currently using a Magnum 250 HOT to pull detritus off the bottom of my mixed reef. The switch is bad and wondering what others out there are using.

Is there another HOT mechanical filter that is working well?

Also what are you all using to get to the bottom of the tank? What size hose?

My cuc take care of everything, I never have to clean the bottom. Do you have a lot of flow? You shouldn't have a issue

Its a mixed tank with a couple of LPS on the bottom..There are times when I have to grab a couple of piles here and there. I cant blast everything with flow

thats true, i keep thinking everyone has a sps tank lol. i have so much flow i barley clean anything in there

My fungia plate is not round anymore. It's shaped like a tear drop and ready to take flight....
