Medication in food for ich or flukes

Hey all,

I've got a bit of a lingering problem with my declevis butterfly. Despite going through a full QT (2 weeks of cupramine, 1 week of prazipro) he has consistently had a few spots of ich on him since putting him in the DT 6 weeks ago. I guess he caught it from one of my fish already in the tank, but they aren't showing it. Also caught him twitching his head the other day, which I believe is a sign of flukes. I am wondering if there is a way of treating either of these conditions via food. I put foods on a clip for him daily and he is the main consumer of these in the tank, with a few other fish nibbling here and there (the others mostly eat out of the water colum). Any medicated food I feed on the clip could essentially be targeted specifically for him.

I am hesitant to remove him and treat him as I dont think it would do any good - he was treated in QT and is still having problems. I dont want to use traditional "in-the-water" medicines as he is in a reef tank. What are my options here?

I've used Prazi with corals before with no issues (although wouldn't really want to do it right off the bat).

I'm leary about trying to medicate through food - how do you know how much your giving to the fish? How do you measure the appropriate amount od said drug? It just seems risky on both accounts (too much or too little).

Keep enriching it's food and maybe it will shake it, if it's flukes though you'll want to treat for it. FWIW, I put all fish through three rounds of Prazi before going into the DT.

So Prazi will kill worms in the tank? Like feather dusters, spaghetti worms, and bristle worms?

If I remove him and treat him, will he be reinfected once putting him back in the tank (even though other fish arent showing signs)?

I've seen bristle worms survive the treatments (although I was surprised), but haven't tried it with any dusters or spaghetti worms. I do believe right on the bottle it mentions that it will kill dusters though...

If the cycle isn't broken it's possible he could be reinfected.

Bump. Any advice other than emptying the tank, treating everything, and leaving the tank fishless for 6 weeks. Seems like a lot to do for just a few pesky spots. I've been feeding real well hoping it would clear up, its certainly not getting worse but he just cant seem to shake the last few spots on his fins.

I've treated a DT with Praziquantel before and the oddball worms like spaghetti worms, fan worms, bristle worms, etc. were all unaffected.
