Medium Blue Tang 4" 25$

I never contradicted myself or acted like that list was the law but tried to impress upon you that the list is made by experts with a lot of time in the hobby. I myself deviated from that list a couple times in the past slightly. Their/our recommendations are not only based on a lot of experience but also on their/our opinions. It's a guide for new-comers and people that are not sure what to do. In this case I posted that information for a specific person to try and understand the importance of sharing real world information. That person was you. No surprise, you didn't get the point and argued with the help you were given as you have done in the past. It does not take someone with more then a week in the hobby to understand that if you put a fish that will grow to up to 12" into a 56 gallon tank, you could do harm to the fish's health and well being. Try being less argumentative and more open minded to experienced reefer's opinions and you would not have to try and pick apart posts to try and make your point. THAT is my opinion.

well many amimals will grow to the the limits of their enviroment (food availability, size), if they are in a small tank, they will not out grow it, at least quickly . if you put that same one in a larger tank he will grow bigger. I guess the key is if you are moving him from a smaller tank to a larger one and he showed no stress in the smaller one, my guess is moving him to a larger one should be no problem and he will just get bigger. mine in the 75 gal has stabilized in size, he looks happy and still eats well. I would like to get him into a bigger home but I am not too worried about it based on his current behaviour.

harry r.....I don't believe this is factual. Fish can/do outgrow their envrioment
Instead what happens is many perish before reaching their full size due to stress at being kept in too small envrioments

It sounds like its already sold since mdefo25 is second in line ???

I think a 6' tank is a must for tangs that can get as large as a hippo can. If you guys have smaller tanks, look into the Ctenochaetus tangs instead.
