Many fishes are sensitive to various meds, and you should also be aware that the FDA (Food and Drug Adm) that protects us and sees to it that our meds are safe and that we know the possible side effects..,.does not have any care or authority about fish tanks.
With fish intended for the table---they do test. With fish in your tank, no. This is left to the company producing the meds and affixing the warning labels.
