I ordered a mated pair of Maroons and got this. whats with the stripes on the female is she abnormal??
I really wanted gold stripe Maroons not gold dot Maroons.

Not an uncommon morph, though I'm surprised they didn't tell you about it when you ordered. Usually mis-barred clowns are labeled as such. Some people find them more desirable. They look great, BTW!

Thanks for your input guys! I think they are pretty but I'm just not sure if I got what I paid for and yes I should have been told proir to them being sent..

I think they are cool. But they are very mean once established. In any case you should have been informed before purchase.

I prefer the misbar clowns. In fact I have seen them go for more $. They look great. Sorry you didn't get what you expected though.

Hmm... If misbars are worth more than regular clowns, maybe sell em for about the same or more and get a regular pair? You might make some $$ if you sell for more? Just a thought if you really don't like them...

I guess I'm in the minority here............A female with gold stripes is way more striking than the one pictured.

The females do change somewhat when they get older/bigger. They are always darker than the male & the stripes can start to recede & get shorter from the bottom up.
