I don't think the concern is how the pizza parlor might feel about us being there and not buying pizza.

I think it was more of a matter of some people can't afford to eat there, so they pretty much are forced to sit there and watch others eat the yummy pizza if they want to participate in the meeting.

As far as no seating at the stores, I think the reef section at The Deep would be adequate to seat the few people we would expect at the start, as long as everyone brought their own chair.
And I am sure Aquariums plus would be the same.

Honestly to start I think a dozen people would be a high expectation, but we can start working on how to get more people shortly after that?

The true concern is going to be when and where? So far it looks like Tuesday and Fridays are the top picks, but are tied.
As far as a location, well any location works, we can change it later if needs require it.
I think it only becomes a problem if the location is changed all the time.

Tuesdays are hard for any one with kids and I really do not want to have to take my kids to a reef store after hours. Friday's may bring in out of towners and folks who commute on week days.

After thinking about the seating problem a pizza place or even the library would make a better meeting place. I could only really see 10 folks with chairs at either store.

Yeah ours (CRC) is on the second Friday evening and that makes it so for some people, IMHO <10%, cannot make it due their work schedule. But in general that's the time most people have as a down-time/optional time. And out of towner's might have a hard time rushing out of work, drive 1+ hr to the meeting, enjoy the meeting, and then drive 1+hr home only to have to get back up to go to work again in the morning... especially if after getting home you have to acclimate anything that you just won/bought. I certainly prefer the option to have the next day after an evening meeting be a leisure one. Again, just my two cents... what am I about up to a nickel here? Glad to seem some activity overall. One thing to keep in mind once you get to having meetings again is keeping interesting content such that people will keep coming back to the meetings!

You could have the business end of the meeting at said store and hopefully that wouldn't take very long such that people could if they wanted sit on the floor. Then coordinate the social aspect immediately afterwards at said pizza place. YEAH that's the ticket!

I'm flexible, but Saturdays are out for us and some first Fridays, as our RPI meetings are always on either a first Friday or Saturday monthly.

As a last thought, I have no problem hosting some meetings at my house...would need to bring your own seating, but you are all welcome to our home.

Our livingroom and dining area are pretty open, but if we can come across folding chairs or if you want to bring some you are all welcome to have a few meetings here this year.

So where are we at Micaiah? Looks like Tuesday or Friday. I know Scott can only come on Tuesdays. I'm not sure who else is limited by those two days.

And location? Hopefully we can pull this together and have a meeting before the MARS frag swap and discuss what we are taking, and what we are looking for in person.
