next meeting Friday March 13th at Union hotel 7pm.

James will be speaking on Quarantining. looking forward to seeing everyone.

Reminder: All of you that have won rare frags in the raffle need to donate a frag back to the raffle when it has grown out enough.

Also we are always looking for donations to the raffle. Jason really stepped up for the last meeting. Please take the time to give back to the club it will only benefit everyone in the long run.

It would also be great if there was more participation in the frag swap. We've consistently had 5 or 6 participants. Again get involved participate. if we're only going to haver 5 or 6 each time then we should consider voting on eliminating the raffle. When I first joined the club most attendees participated.

Please again give back to a club I'm sure has been a wonderful resource for each and everyone of us.

Thanks Bob

I was planning this month on giving back a frag of something I had received from the club previously. A frag of carduus seemed appropriate given the recent thread and its having been the first piece I got at a club meeting.

However, until I emerge from my aefw denial, it seems prudent that I not donate this month at least.

Ken,

Thanks for the positive input. In a club environment " if everyone does a little no one has to do a lot"

I really hope we get some donations for the raffle and some more participation in the swaps. The raffle is our only source of income and we have been real agressive in spending the money on rares for the raffle. If we keep up with the current pace we'll have a lot of really nice corals around the club.

The other benefit is if you loose your only piece you would be able to get a frag from another member.

So in closing Please everone try to make an effort to donate to the raffle and participate in the swaps.

Thanks Bob

I am new so I don't have anything to give at this point, but in the future I most certainly will help! We are new to reefing and this will be our first Reef Club meeting, we know a few of you but are looking forward to meeting the rest of you!

Take care and see you March 13th.. :-)

Hey guys,

Sorry Bob I am still pretty new but I have a kenya tree frag and can prune some pulsing xenia if anybody wants some.

By the way is the meeting at the same place or the one on college.

See you there..Craig.

Yes, I can see that it must look very nice in person. :)

By the way, any chance the pink/orange Birdsnest from Mike is actually his orange digitata? The piece of digitata I got from him looks pretty similar. It's kinda furry like a birdsnest but more substantial. Branches and forms new branches like crazy. Branches are thicker and dull ended versus thinner and pointy like many birdsnest. Yes, I know there are thicker blunt ended birdsnests. I have one. But when the polyps contract the birdsnest is more pathetic looking than the polyp retracted digitata.

Whatever you guys want to call it. One day I will have the names down yea right. A piece of it will be at the meeting.

Thanks Bob. I look forward to seeing everyone there.

James - I'm going on a killing spree today!!! :uzi:

Nonreef responsibilities of children, dinner, etc. prevented me from getting all Rambo on any flatworms yesterday. After I drop them at school this morning it's on like Donkey Kong!

Thanks Bob, but I got it covered.

I picked some up yesterday and will be adding it to the tank tomorrow. I'm making some water for the water change now.

:)

Any new guys that are looking for anything now would be the time to speak up. Also last time I ask about gsp if nobody wants any it just goes to Caesars one day soon. they might even pay for it. I know this stuff is not popular anymore but hey I am siting here looking at it and it looks nice. I am just getting a little to much so I thought I would give people the chance.

I will take some GSP. I am new to the club but I am part of NCNRS and hopefully some of you guys recognize my username.

Names Marshal I have a 24g aquapod and I will try to be at the meeting on friday after work. Is there a fee to get in? Should I bring some frags that I have in the tank? talk to you guys soon
~Marshal

Dale I'm game for some GSP as well if you have enough. I may have something you want as well for a trade. Either way as a new member I will be there at 7:00. Looking forward to seeing the more experienced Reefers. Mike
