Ok so when should we plan our next meeting? I hope to have my tank up so I can start to fill it with corals!!!!

I vote for late January/early Feb.... Give some time to build our stock up and have some good trades and such. And with the weather aand such, it may be difficult to meet each month during the winter.

We found, in other clubs I have been involoved in, that monthly meetings can be too much, if you don't have an active schedule or something to do, i.e., a project. I request that we firgure out a DIY project and everyone bring something to aid in that. Example: DIY Liverock. Everyone brings something to help build it. We make a bunch and everyone takes some home.

Frag trading we foiund can get somewhat boring if we do it every month. Frags just don't grow that fast.

I also vote for revolving meeting locations. I hosted it this month, maybe someone else can step up and host it next time.

A topic I qwould like to discuss, maybe in a different thread, is a field trip. I talked to LiveAquaria and they host reef club tours. Maybe we can hook up with the kids from the other side of the state and do a road trip?!? Plus we can purchase while we are there. Win/Win in my opinion!!! Anyone up for that??

I would be up for a LiveAquaria field trip. I am sure I could get a couple others from TCMAS to join us as well

I've been teasing HD about a meeting when I move in may/june-how to do an in-wall tank, since the 75 is going to go in-wall when we get into our new house.

I'll also be doing all sorts of strange things.. DIY algae turf scrubber, DIY rock wall using the eggcrate. I was even thinking of finding a good patch of xenia for an export system for the tank :D

But I agree, once a month may get to be much for how few of us there are. I'm deciding on LPS and zoa's, so sometime maybe we can do a 'how to frag things' meeting too.

Every other month is plenty any time of year I'm sure. If we had one meeting in February, we could do another in April and then attend the swap meet in June! I have some friends in WI. Maybe I should see how close they are to Rhinelander!

I love the project ideas. DIY live rock and fragging demo would be very useful and interesting.
